GRAVEYARD SUNDAY Sunday 24 June 12 noon (no 12 noon Mass in Magherafelt) Parishioners are invited to tidy their family graves and the surrounding areas. Please use the bins provided for any rubbish, unused vases etc. The National Committee of World Meeting of Families has asked all dioceses throughout the country to host their own Opening Ceremony for WMOF on Tuesday 21 August. The event for this diocese will take place in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh. It will begin with a festival in the Shambles Market (almost opposite the Cathedral) from 5pm to 7pm, followed by a procession to the Cathedral. This will include various organisations representing Church and Sport within the Archdiocese as well as banners of the seventeen pastoral areas – it will be quite a colourful spectacle. The highlight of the day will be Evening Prayer in the Cathedral from 7.30pm to 8.15pm. |
