PARISH BUILDING FUND

We wish to thank all those who have contributed so generously to our Parish Building Fund for the works in the Church of the Our Lady of the Assumption.  The fund raising ends on the last Sunday of June and we are nearing our target for the works.  We appeal to those who haven’t yet contributed to consider doing so as we make a final big push towards the end of the appeal.  The total amount raised will be announced mid-July.  Envelopes are available at all entrances to the Churches or from the Sacristy or the Parish Office.

GRAVEYARD SUNDAY & BLESSING OF THE GRAVES will take place on Sunday 29 June at 3pm.  We ask parishioners to please tend to their graves in preparation.  Many older graves have no-one to care for them and we appeal to anyone who may be available the week prior to Graveyard Sunday to volunteer for a couple of hours to help John Niblock tend those graves.  Alternatively please tend to any neglected grave close to your family grave by removing weeds etc.  We thank everyone for their help in this regard.  Milltown is a graveyard we can be rightly proud of.  We hope to unveil and bless a memorial to all unbaptised children who were buried in unconsecrated ground at graveyard Sunday.

DO THIS IN MEMORY PROGRAMME We invite all children in the Parish who received the Sacrament of First Penance and First Communion this year to come with their families to 9.30am Mass in Castledawson or 10.30 am Mass in Magherafelt on Sunday 22 June, The Feast of Corpus Christi, The Body & Blood of Christ.
