We are collecting this year for St. Vincent de Paul with the focus on hygiene products; we are most grateful for donations of toiletries, toilet roll, tissues, sanitary products, nappies etc which can be left at our collection point Monday – Friday 10am – 4pm.

Both Magherafelt and Castledawson Churches are closed for Masses except for Weddings and Funerals. 

The maximum number of people for Weddings and Funerals remains the same at 25.

All Masses will be streamed via webcam. 

There will be no Baptisms for the next two weeks.

The Churches will remain open for solitary private prayer –

Magherafelt – weekdays after 11am Mass & close before evening Mass or Holy Hour & Sundays from 1pm – 6pm;

Castledawson – from 10am – 5pm everyday



The link to the on-line booking system for Masses over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will go live on Tuesday 1 December at 9am on Magherafelt Parish Facebook page.  If you have difficulty please contact Fr. Gates 028 7963 2439 or Pat 028 7963 1726.  There is a maximum of 60 tickets (for a family pew) in Magherafelt & 20 in Castledawson with a maximum of two bookings per family.


FIRST FRIDAY CALLS – Due to the increase in number of Covid-19 cases it is not advisable to carry out home/nursing home visits at present.  Fr. Gates & Fr. Branigan are available for emergency sick calls.
